File a damage claim
If something was damaged or went missing on your move with us, tell us here. This form is your claim in writing.
You have 9 months from the day we delivered your goods, or should have delivered them, to file a claim in writing. We confirm we received it within 10 days, and within 90 days we pay it, decline it in writing with the reason, or make you a firm written offer.
What we pay depends on the liability level on your bill of lading: the standard $1.25 per pound of shipment weight, the full value you declared, or 60 cents per pound per article if you chose released value. On a loading, unloading or packing only job it is 60 cents per pound per article, up to the limit in your labor agreement. If you disagree with our answer, you may take it to court within 2 years and 1 day from the day we decline it in writing.
Call us and a coordinator will write the claim down with you. You can also email it; the day we receive it is the day your claim is filed.
