The old hillside houses are the ones to plan for: steep streets, stone steps, narrow doors, tight turned stairways, and often no place to park a truck in front. We check the route during your estimate and, if needed, use a smaller truck to get close.

From 12:01 a.m. November 1 through midnight April 1, Stillwater uses odd and even calendar parking: on odd numbered days vehicles must be on the odd addressed side of the street, and on even numbered days on the even addressed side. Cars must be moved to the next day's side between 7:00 p.m. and midnight, and a vehicle in violation may be issued a summons and towed. City code keeps this calendar parking in force all year on streets in the platted portions of the Liberty and Legends subdivisions. A commercially licensed vehicle over one ton may park on a city street only while it is loading, unloading or rendering a service, or with prior authorization from the Chief of Police. Parking in a signed loading zone also requires the Chief of Police's prior authorization. Downtown, Main Street has free 90 minute parking in the core, with free 4 hour parking west of Main. Any dumpster or Bagster bag placed in the street or boulevard needs an obstruction permit from the Stillwater Engineering Department. People who live in the Downtown Parking District can buy monthly city parking permits for the parking ramp or surface lots, but the permits do not allow on-street parking, and the ramp's residential permits have a waitlist.
