A moving truck at a Minnesota townhome with the ramp down and pad wrapped furniture on the walk
Local moving

Local moves, with
both homes protected.

Apartments, condos, townhomes and houses anywhere in the Twin Cities and across Minnesota. The crew protects both homes, wraps every piece of furniture and sets it all back where you want it.

What every local move includes.

This is the core of what we do. A crew arrives on time, lays down floor and doorway protection, pad wraps your furniture before it leaves the room, and sets everything back where you want it at the new place. Studio apartment or five bedroom house, the standard is the same.

If the dates do not line up, we can store your things for up to 90 days and deliver them when the new place is ready. More about storage

Questions

Common questions.

How is a local move priced?
On the crew's time with the truck, for the work your move actually needs. A coordinator goes over your move with you first, and your free written estimate itemizes every charge before you book. Book online from your emailed quote and save 5 percent. The discount applies whichever way you get your estimate, to local moves of 40 miles or less booked directly from your emailed quote. It does not combine with other offers.
How do you protect my home?
Floor runners go down and door jambs and railings are padded at both addresses before anything moves. Furniture is pad wrapped before it leaves the room, and upholstered pieces are shrink wrapped.
Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes. Beds, tables and mirrors are taken apart, moved and put back together at the new place, and the tools come with the crew.
Do you move on weekends?
Yes. Saturday is the most requested moving day, so book it early; a weekday date is usually easier to get. Sunday and evening moves can often be arranged, especially for offices and apartment buildings with restricted move-in windows.
How far in advance should I book my move?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most local moves. The end of the month, the first weekend of the month and the summer season fill up fastest, so book earlier if your date falls there. We do take short notice moves when we have a crew available, so it is always worth calling.
What will you not move?
Anything flammable, corrosive or explosive, including propane tanks, gasoline, paint thinner, aerosols and ammunition. Also perishable food and, on longer runs, live plants. Cash, jewelry, prescriptions and important documents should ride with you rather than on the truck.
